Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

The short version: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your games, saves and settings stay on your device. The only thing that leaves it is a record of your App Store purchase, under an anonymous ID, so we can count sales.

This policy covers the Duo app for iPhone and this website. Duo is made by Jurre de Ruiter (“we”, “us”).

What we collect

Only purchase history. When you buy or restore Duo Pass or Duo Lifetime, the app passes the App Store transaction (which product, its price and currency, its dates, and its trial or renewal state) to RevenueCat, our purchase-reporting service, under a random anonymous ID that isn’t tied to your name, email or Apple Account. We use it to count sales and subscriptions, and RevenueCat uses it to validate purchases. It isn’t linked to you and it’s never used for tracking or advertising.

We don’t collect anything else: not your games, not what you play, not your profile. Duo contains no advertising, usage analytics or tracking code, and we never sell or share personal information.

What stays on your device

Duo keeps a few things locally so it can work. None of it is sent to us.

Games and saves live in Duo’s folder in the Files app (On My iPhone › Duo), where you can copy or delete them at any time. If your device backs up to iCloud or a computer, that backup may include them. That’s handled by Apple and your own settings, not by us.

Purchases

Duo Pass and Duo Lifetime are sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, payment details or Apple Account. Duo checks whether it’s unlocked through Apple’s StoreKit, which talks to Apple directly. Apple’s handling of that information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

The purchase record described above is processed by RevenueCat, Inc. on our behalf, under the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Apple also tells RevenueCat when a subscription renews, is cancelled or is refunded, for the same anonymous ID.

Crash reports

If you’ve turned on Share With App Developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. That’s Apple’s feature, and you can switch it off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from other services. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (like IP addresses) for a short time to keep the site running and secure.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply. We don’t add you to any list, and you can ask us to delete the conversation at any time.

Children

Duo collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The anonymous purchase record above is the only data that leaves the app.

Your rights

Everything Duo stores is on your device and under your control: delete the files in Files, or delete the app to remove it all. We can’t trace the anonymous purchase record back to you, but if you send us the transaction ID from your App Store receipt, we’ll find it and delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date above. If Duo ever starts collecting anything more, we’ll say so here and in the App Store before it happens.
